Firefighter Birthday Party – June 2014

Fire Collage

As I begin yet another year of marathon Birthday Party Plans, I thought I would re-share last years post, and make some room on the parties page for the new event to go when its done.  Enjoy!!

All Fired Up

(A) Loves anything fire related as you know from my review of the FASNY Fire Museum (click here).  Last year we did a Superhero Birthday (Click Here) and we had to choose a new theme, so we of course went with firefighter training.  My brother is a firefighter in Westchester so at least I had someone experienced to help me make up the activities!

*Click on the purple words for links directly to the items you might want to purchase.*

Invitations – I am an invitation fanatic, I couldn’t find any that I loved from my usual sources so I chose a digital download from Etsy.  I absolutely love how it came out.  I always take these to Staples and have them printed on Business Card Matte Paper.  I like the weight of the paper, it’s not too shiny, and it looks nice.  I also have them cut it for me (there are things even I won’t spend time doing).

Decorations-This is of course one of my favorite parts!

  • Paper Goods- (tablecloths, utensils, cups, napkins, plates, star balloons) Dollar Store, Christmas Tree Shops.
  • Photo Prop– Kids could stick their faces in and take a picture looking like a real fireman.
  • Tissue Paper Balls– Christmas Tree Shops, Oriental Trading Company, AC Moore, Michaels, or follow the link. They really look like fire on the wall which is awesome!
  • Fire Engine Balloons
  • Garland
  • Trucks with Hydrants- I put some rocks inside of each truck to keep it on the table.
  • Extinguisher Drink Dispenser– THEY LOVED THIS!!! (A) is still trying to use it on a daily basis.
  • Hydrant Cupcake Stand
  • Free Printables– I found this to be super useful. At the end of the day I ended up using the “Happy Birthday” banner, and the water bottle wraps. I had originally printed out the certificates to hand out as well, but really.. I think it’s cute but parents have one more piece of paper to throw out. So I just printed one for (A) and moved on. If you can’t find printables for free, you can purchase on Etsy like I did for the invitations, but I think it’s not necessary.

The table for kids set up.

Table Set Up

Games-I made an itinerary (type A personality), for the party which outlines each of the games that I used.  Included in the games are the following items:

Obstacle Course- in two lines, kids had to put on the hat, zig zag through cones while their siren (voices) were going off, crawl through the tunnel, knock down the solo cups with the water packs, go back through the tunnel and then run to their next friend who starts again.

  • Hydrant Blow Up Decorations
  • Fire Hats– I had these at the house because (A) already had the outfits at home, but they can be purchased online as well.
  • Cones
  • 2 Pop Up Tunnels
  • Solo Cups
  • 2 Water Backpacks– these will not go to waste, as (A) and his father (affectionately named RNYD) run around squirting one another frequently.

(A) drives the truck (runs through cones making the siren noise).

Driving the truck

(A) crawls through the tunnel.

Aidan Tunnel

(A) puts out the solo cup fire with the water pack.

Aidan Squirt

Put out the House Fire- participants use water balloons to wash the shaving cream off of the house.  Bonus was that I used the tissue paper fire, which also disintegrated and fell to the ground, which really helped with the visual idea.  You need a LOT of balloons, they go fast.  ( I let RNYD and a friend of his spray the house with the shaving cream, they really liked that too).

  • Shaving Cream
  • Tissue Paper Fire
  • Water Balloons– buy at dollar store, I won’t even link it here (but when making in advance, be sure to put them in a bucket of water so they don’t pop themselves!)

(A) in the process of throwing a balloon at the house on fire.

Shaving Cream House

Bucket Brigade- kids use solo cups to move water from one area to another.  They work as a team to put out the fire in the second bucket.  For older kids they could stand in a  line and try to do it by passing the water, but these guys just had to run… and it was fun to watch :o)

  • Solo Cups
  • Kiddie Pool- I had this in the garage…
  • Plastic Tubs – I had these in the basement and put them to good use, but you could use one, or any other container you have sitting around the house.

(A) fills his bucket (solo cup) to put out the fire.

Bucket Brigade

Put out the Fires- buckets with tissue paper placed around the perimeter of the yard so kids can run and put them out by spraying them with the silly string.

  • Silly String –Dollar store, I purchased blue, green and purple, it was very cool.
  • Buckets/Pails (had a ton lying around the house, but if you don’t then again, they are available at the dollar store, AC Moore, or Michaels for about a dollar each).
  • Tissue Paper (yellow and red)- these also look great as décor before the kids run around “putting them out”.

(A) squirts the fire (tissue paper) with his extinguisher (silly string).

Silly String Fire Extinguisher

Pin the splash on the Fire- we didn’t get to this one, but it’s an updated version of pin the… on the…. The intention was to do it as a pair (firemen work together).  I made my own fire poster on foam board but there are some versions you can purchase (follow the link).

Ready and waiting, but we ran out of time.

Pin the Water

Stop Drop and Roll Freeze Dance- an updated version of freeze dance, when the music (I used superhero music for the whole party) stops, the kids have to get down and stop drop and roll.

Favors-I don’t love goody bags.  I hate to admit it but I usually take out the bubbles and the pencil and then throw out the rest.  Especially because of little (E) who still puts everything that she can find in her mouth, there is just no need for it.  Instead, I opted for some take homes that I thought the kids and parents would love.

Fire Hats– Can be purchased anywhere (amazon link provided), but your local station may be willing to give you some of the ones that they use for fire prevention month in October.

Hydrant Cups– Loved these!  I put the names of each attendee on the wheel on the front so that the kids could use them and tell apart all day! (A) is still drinking out of his a week later.

T-Shirts- I run my own soccer school and have a great relationship with a local printer named Artwill Group.  When I was trying to think of favors I contacted them to see if printing some shirts was an option.  They did one better!  They suggested white shirts with an outlined design on them, and having the kids color them in with fabric markers!  It was awesome and the kids all have a cool keepsake to take home.  In honor of the idea, they are offering an exclusive package to our readers which includes the design, 25 white shirts, and fabric markers just mention you got the idea here :o).

(A) and a friend work on their shirts.

Working on Shirt

(A)’s completed shirt.

Completed Shirt

Food-I didn’t go too crazy here, let’s face it, 4 year olds are not connoisseurs and I decided that part wasn’t really where I needed to focus my energy.

  • Veggies – Peppers (red, yellow and orange), Baby Carrots, Cherry Tomatoes (red, yellow, orange) and dip. Chips (regular potato and tortilla) with mango salsa.
  • Pizza
  • Cake (yellow with vanilla frosting), Cupcakes (chocolate and vanilla with chocolate molded fire hats on top), and fruit salad.
  • Water, Apple Juice and Soda (for the adults)

The party was a huge success and (A) actually thanked me for the best party ever (my heart melted).  I was glad to have done it, but am even more glad that I put two weeks between his party and (E)’s first birthday bash, because I need some recuperation time!!!

Bounce New York- Party Rentals

Posted on May 13, 2015 by RocklandNYMom Posted in Reviews, We're Having a Party .

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post.  All opinions expressed are those of Carrie Regan our contributor.

With my daughter’s birthday being at the end of April, we usually roll the dice with the weather- especially this year, it was SNOWING on April 24, but the weather prediction for the 25th was sunny and warm. Ahhhh… spring in New York! I decided to err on the side of luck and started investigating one thing that all kids love;  bounce houses for the party. I reached out to a few different companies, and there was one who instantly got back to me…BOUNCE New York!

When I first explained to Joe at Bounce New York that I was throwing a Peter Pan party, I included a link I had found on Google that showed a Peter Pan bounce house. Joe went above and beyond looking for the panel that I had in mind for the party- unfortunely it’s been discontinued, but I have to say that several other companies just simply replied “no” when I asked them if they had a bounce unit for my theme. Joe and I messaged back and forth several times with him giving me updates about his search. Luckily though, there are several themes that Bounce New York can accommodate from their own stock – super heroes, princesses, Dora and many more. They also have those huge combo bouncers, water slides and ball pits (oh my!)

Their trailer which features their different choices.Bounce NY Truck

I decided that I would be the only one who noticed that the bounce house didn’t coordinate exactly with my theme and booked a bouncer for the party. I am SO glad we decided to do it. From the second the BOUNCE NEW YORK trailer pulled up in my driveway, it was a delightful experience. Bounce is a family owned business and that was evident when Joe, his wife and their daughter got out of the car. The three of them worked together to get the house set up and secured. Joe made sure the house was in a spot where it was protected from the wind and then secured it with stakes into the ground to make sure it was safe. He then put down a foam mat for the kids to sit on and take their shoes on and off. And then, the part that totally impressed me- Joe’s wife, Tara, got into the house with a spray bottle of disinfectant and Joe began spraying the outside. BOUNCE NEW YORK disinfects EVERY house, EVERY time they set it up. Joe said that they make sure to spray and wipe the parts of the house that kids would touch. That statement put this germ-a-phobe mom right at ease! Joe and Tara made sure it was sparkly clean and germ free (yay!) before leaving. Upon leaving, Joe even offered to let us keep the bouncer overnight so my kids could use it after the party- he said, “I’d rather have kids having fun on it then it just sitting in the trailer”.

Some pictures of the awesome Castle.

Bounce NY Castle

Bounce NY Castle 2At the actual party, the kids were in the bounce house constantly- every time I looked over there were kids getting in and out, I don’t think it was ever empty! There were even kids who decided to forgo cupcakes to keep on bouncing! I asked a few kids what their favorite part of the party was and most of them said “bouncing!”. Between the amazing customer service that BOUNCE NEW YORK offers and the great time the kids have, you definitely can’t go wrong by contacting this company.

The kids thoroughly enjoying their time in the Bounce Castle.

As a special treat for the readers of ROCKLANDNYMOM will be offered $25 off their rental when you mention this blog. Additionally, BOUNCE NEW YORK offers a referral program, in which you will get a free rental for every 5 referrals you send his way! You can’t get any better than that! 845-234-3121

Pretzel Bunnies

Posted on April 1, 2015 by RocklandNYMom Posted in Crafts, We're Having a Party, Yumm! .

Disclosure:  This is an unsponsored post.  All opinions expressed are my own.

I am lucky enough to be on Spring Break this week.  (A) is not.  In fact, I was lucky because our snack day at school was this week.  I like that because during our normal routine I don’t have enough time to make something special (which I enjoy).  So we wanted to make something nice and also a little healthy.

I decided on home made soft pretzels, which at first glance seems super labor intensive and difficult.  They weren’t.  Its a little time consuming, but not difficult.

I used this recipe http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/24272/buttery-soft-pretzels/?page=0

This was great because (A) could help.  Having used lots of dough,  he knew how to roll them into “snakes” and then twist them into Bunnies.

A makes pretzels

Bunnies ready to bake

We cooked them and then as soon as they came out of the oven, we put melted butter on them and stuck in a chocolate covered egg (as a tail).  Then sprinkled coarse sea salt on the top.

That’s it super easy, cute and the kids (and adults) loved them!!

Birthdate Envy

Posted on March 6, 2015 by RocklandNYMom Posted in Out and about..., Reviews, We're Having a Party .

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post.  All opinions expressed are my own.

My kids have summer birthdays June and July.  I consider myself very lucky, because I have always just had a party in the back yard for them.  I tend to go a little nuts but that’s on my own.  I have friends who are not so lucky.  They have kiddies who have winter birthday parties and although they would love to host a party at their homes, they cannot get that many people into their home and still have all the fun and games that they would like to (although many of them have done a great job).  They have called it “birthdate envy”.  Here’s a solution.

My Sweet Pea in New City now has a party room downstairs.  It’s a good size room with many possibilities, and Sheri (the owner) rents it out for parties.  You can book a party package where Sheri takes care of everything, or if you are like me (a little neurotic, type A) you can simply rent the room and do all of your crazy planning and activities on your own.

A lengthwise view of the large room.  There is even enough space to have multiple areas set up for different activities.

Party Room

One of the back sections that could be utilized.

Party Room Back Corner

I know what you are saying, there are lots of rooms for rent around Rockland County, this isn’t new.  What is new and nice?  It’s not super expensive. It’s an AFFORDABLE room to rent in Rockland County to throw a party.  I have had to rent rooms and looking for one that is affordable is a real pain.

Since the room was acquired it has been used for classes, seminars, parties, workshops… the possibilities are endless.  Some who have booked it and had successful events, have already booked it for another upcoming event.  It’s also available often, or was because not too many people knew about it until now.

Two examples of gatherings that have already been held at My Sweet Pea are:

  • Mrs. Claus Event
  • Wreath Decorating Class

If you are interested in booking the downstairs of My Sweet Pea email Sheri at MySweetPeaStore@yahoo.com or Call the store 845-638-2229 (BABY).

Icing Smiles

One of the things I love about small local businesses is the way they all come together to help the community.  Of course they do, they live here.  So many of the RNYM businesses give back it would be impossible to list them all (if you are ever in need of one, contact me).

When I met Gilda Burke of Jolirose Cake Shop we were working together on Gabi’s “Party of a Lifetime”.  her creation blew me away.  So much so that when I needed a smash cake for (E)’s first birthday photo-shoot I went straight to her.

So, after almost a year of our professional relationship (and tons of well deserved accolades later), I find out that she also participates in Icing Smiles, a program that brings amazing cakes to very sick children.  Not just ANY cake, their dream cake, and if you’ve ever seen her work, you know that’s just what it will be.

To request a “smile” is easy.  You just go to their website and click on the button.  You fill out a request and viola, one less thing for a family to worry about.  Sometimes the best thing for a sick kiddo is to feel a little “normal”, but its one of the hardest things for the parents to do with so much on their plate.  You do not have to be the parent of a sick child to request one.  If you know someone in need you can nominate them to receive one.  Talented cake artists like Gilda will create a beautiful masterpiece that may help everyone to forget their worries and enjoy a moment of time.

Major restructuring of our “For a Good Cause” page is underway.  I will be updating it with awesome programs like this for people who need it.  Check back soon for a newer page that serves our community!!

Purim Palooza- A JCC Character Event

Posted on March 2, 2015 by RocklandNYMom Posted in Out and about..., Reviews, We're Having a Party .

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post as we were invited to attend the Purim Palooza.  All opinions expressed are my own.

We NEEDED to get out this weekend.  Like so many others we have CABIN FEVER!  (Time to start taking advantage of our own events board).  This weekend we had a chance to.

This event screamed of fun, from flyer to fruition.  You dress up and mingle with awesome characters, play, eat, dance and more!!!  (A) and I were excited at the chance to wear his Halloween costume again, and (E) was also excited to dress up (now old enough to pick which dress she wore, it was super cute).

PurimCharacterPalooza_2015_final

We had a BLAST!  There were so many things to do that we got home an BOTH kiddos napped ((A) gave his up a while ago so this was a pleasant surprise).

Let’s talk Highlights:

  • There was so much food.  Choices to make everyone happy, and extra seating in another room.
  • Loved that there was a coat check and I didn’t have to carry them around.
  • 2 Bounce houses, no crazy lines.

Emmie Bounce House

Aidan Bouce

  • Creative and Crafty stations to please everyone.

Emma Color

Aidan Lego

  • Fun Games

(A) adored the archery station.

Aidan Archery

This poor volunteer played with (E) for what seemed like hours, so patiently.

Emie Basketball

  • Great music the whole time.

DJ Set up

(E) cutting a rug.

Emmie Smile

  • Super Popular Characters- Ana, Elsa, Olaf, Doc McStuffins, a Minion (thanks Glamour Girls a RNYM directory member), plus you were given an autograph book to have them fill out when you entered..

Aidan Minion

The JCC threw one heck of a party.  We had an amazing time.  My only regret is that when we first got there I didn’t see the Characture station, if I had I would have jumped on it.  By the time I realized where it was there was a long line so we had to bypass it (next time I will go there first).  We left with full bellies having had a fantastic time.

I cannot wait for the next time that they have an event, I highly recommend it.  Make sure to keep checking back here, because we will absolutely be updating you on any event that they run!!

Head Over WHEELS For You Valentine!

Posted on February 9, 2015 by RocklandNYMom Posted in Crafts, Thoughts.., We're Having a Party .

Disclosure:  This is an unsponsored post.  All opinions expressed are my own.

Valentines day is special. Its a great time for kids and (A)’s school does so many cute things.  The one thing I am not a fan of is all the candy.  Its a common gripe of mine.  As a cookie and candy addict myself (see my review of German Grocery and its amazing treats), I make every effort to teach my kids that sweets are a treat.  They are not something that needs to be consumed on a daily basis, or in mass quantities.  I try to teach them that it is actually more enjoyable to have one really good cookie than a bag of any old treat.  In that same thought I try then to send in Valentines that do not include candy to the class each year.  Here is what I came up with this year.

(A) really loves Hot Wheels Cars.  So does (E) for that matter.  They are small and fun and encourage imagination, and they don’t break the bank.  So this year we decided to make Hot Wheels Valentines.

It actually took me a little while to come up with the phrase “Head over WHEELS for you Valentine!”  I originally planned to do “Like you Loads!” but couldn’t find enough trucks to follow through.

First I created a template to use as the card.  I used publisher and have uploaded it here for you.  (A)’s school requires that the kids sign their own names if they can, so we left a space inside the hearts.

Head Over Wheels Valentine

I purchased the 5-packs of cars to use on them.  I wanted to be able to attach them without ruining the cars, so we used “cold” hot glue.  It doesn’t reach super high temperatures so it won’t melt the car wheels, but will hold for our purposes.

Here’s the class set!!!

That’s it!  Hope you enjoy!!

Story Time with Mrs. Claus

Posted on December 11, 2014 by RocklandNYMom Posted in Christmas 2014, Out and about..., Reviews, We're Having a Party .

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post as I was invited to the Mrs. Claus Story time event.  All opinions expressed are my own.  All photos were provided by Stefanie Murphy Media.  Although I took my own, hers were just too amazing.

There are so many options out there for Christmas experiences it’s difficult to weed through them.  I am always on the hunt for something a little different, not the norm.  That’s why when I heard about the story time with Mrs. Claus I was intrigued.  It just so happens that this event was a collaboration between three of our directory participants; My Sweet Pea in New City, Glamour Girls Parties, and Stefanie Murphy Media.  Knowing the quality of each of their work, I was very excited to attend and report back my findings of their first full collaboration (of many that I overheard).

Why I loved the idea… I like that for a change we got to see the woman behind the man.  I like that it was a smaller more personal group (the event was capped at 20 children and their parents).  I really like that Stefanie Murphy Media was there, so I didn’t have to worry about running around and getting the best photo of my kids to capture the memory.  I was able to sit back and enjoy the event and know with certainty that Stefanie would capture some golden moments (uploading them to a downloadable gallery for me, which is included in the price of the event) while I watched the magic.

Some of the amazing photos taken by Stefanie Murphy Media.

I’ve been to countless Santa breakfasts at places like the mall and other areas and most of us know how they run, I am going to try to focus on what was a little different and very neat about this event.  Mrs. Claus did interact with the children walk around and chat and it was very personal because it wasn’t overcrowded.  Although there was plenty of space in the room for the children to wonder (and (E) did because at 18 months she doesn’t sit well for long periods of time).  The children were not left to simply run around while having their snack.  The event which ran from 10-12 noon on 12/7 was structured in a way where we were able to get some great holiday pictures and the kids had lots of entertainment.

Some beautiful photos from the event.

Upon arrival guests were checked in and received their Santa hats.  There was the option of embroidering them for an additional fee and although I didn’t have it done I was wondering if I should have as they were adorable.  As people were arriving Mrs. Claus walked around and chatted with the parents and children.

Let’s talk about Mrs. Claus.  Mrs. Claus was a fantastic find, Glamour Girls knocked it out of the park.  The dedication to realism was great.  She was there early and in character before anyone arrived.  She also stayed until everyone was gone to change back to herself so as not to ruin the illusion.  She not only interacted with the children easily, but she read them two stories, sang Christmas carols with them (she had a lovely voice click here to see video), danced with them, and also played a few games (Mrs. Claus says and freeze dance were awesome).  The entertainment itself lasted about 45 minutes to an hour (which as you know is as long as the kids could handle anyway), at which time the kids were able to have a snack, move around a bit and then prepare to have some private pictures with Mrs. Claus.

All in all I would say they knocked this one out of the park.  It was easy and fun.  Upon leaving (A) was unable to pinpoint a favorite part, he simply told me that he had a really good time and didn’t want to leave the store.  It was organized and adorable.  The staff was super friendly and had great rapports with the children.  I am very much looking forward to their next collaborative event which might just be in January.  Keep an eye out for them so you don’t miss out!  My Sweet Pea has just introduced their new newsletter which you can sign up for by emailing MySweetPeaStore@yahoo.com .

Ladies Night- Fall Wreath Class

Posted on November 12, 2014 by RocklandNYMom Posted in Crafts, Out and about..., Reviews, We're Having a Party .

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post as I was invited to a class at My Sweet Pea in New City.  All opinions expressed are my own.

Last Thursday I attended the Fall Wreath Making Class at My Sweet Pea in New City.  The class was the first of a series of seasonal Wreaths that will be held for adults at the store on Thursday evenings.  I was excited to attend as I love decorating for the seasons, love crafting, and love a night out with other adults.

We got together to begin the class and we brought a few bottles of wine.  All of the supplies (included in the price of the class) were ready and waiting for us as we got there, including different options for the ribbon, paint, and adornments.  I found this was one of the best parts of the class, because although we all learned the same skills we were able to modify to better fit our design style and personalities.

The smaller craft room at My Sweet Pea ready for class.

Wreath Set up

The group of ladies that we were with were great.  Doreen (our teacher) helped us to get started and even offered other ways of beginning the design if we were having difficulty.  She was very helpful and offered to show us time and time again.  In fact, I had to start over when I wasn’t loving the way it was coming out. Doreen said that its totally normal, happens often and offered suggestions as to how to start again and make it look more like I had envisioned.  The first thing she had us do was paint our monogram letters so that they would be dry by the time we needed to add them at the end of the class.  After that we created the basic shape of our wreaths.

Beginning the burlap process.

Ladies working

Basic shape ready!

Shannon Burlap Done

Once we got that completed for the wreath (the burlap was really the longest part), Doreen showed us how to make the nice large bows you see all of the time.  She showed us how to do it first free hand and then showed us using a special little gadget called the “bowdabra”.  Each student liked a different look to their bow, some larger and more round, others flatter and smaller.  Doreen patiently walked each one of us through the process until we loved our own bows.

J thinks about what she wants her bow to look like.

Making a perfect Bow

The last part of the wreath making had us adding our embellishments.  We had the monogram letters from earlier on in the project as well as choices in flowers (either burlap or silk).  The finished products are shown below.

Our finished products, LOVE THEM!!!

Finished Wreaths

They all came out amazingly and I am so proud to display it on my front door.  I cannot wait to make my Christmas Wreath on 11/20.

To register for a class email: MySweetPeaStore@yahooo.com.  I am hooked, I’ll see you there.

Wreaths aren’t your thing?  My Sweet Pea offers other classes for adults and children.  There are adult and children’s cake/cupcake decorating classes as well as some other craft classes for kids.  Have a crafty child who would love a birthday party that follows these lines, My Sweet Holds those too!  The monthly schedule is below.  If a group wants to get together and do a certain craft that you don’t see, give Sheri at My Sweet Pea a call and she can arrange it for you.

If you love good service and quality as much as I do, then you are already a big fan of My Sweet Pea Children’s Boutique in New City (click for my account of my first visit).  If you haven’t been there yet, go the next time you need a special gift for that special little one and you won’t be disappointed.  In fact, tell her I sent you.

They have such a good thing going that the owner Sheri has big plans, starting this September  (2014).  Would you like to be in on the secret (or not so secret since there is a big sign out front)?  My Sweet Pea is moving to a larger location, yes you heard correctly, larger.  At the boutique’s new address (14 N. Main Street, New City; the Dunkin Donuts/Carvel Shopping Center) Sheri will be able to carry MORE wonderful merchandise (including Halloween Costumes!), while still providing you with the type of personal attention that you have grown to know and love.  In addition to the expanded product line, there will also be more accessible parking, a more spacious, comfortable store, and expanded availability (7 days with more hours).  Sold yet?

A sneak peek at the new store!

In addition to the amazing services that My Sweet Pea already provides (cakes, favors, customization, personal shopping, theme décor, registries, extended hours when necessary to name a few), there will be children’s arts and crafts classes, and cake decorating classes for mommies and daddies!

My Sweet Pea Boutique presents Classes by Katy, a series of project-based craft and cake-decorating workshops for children and adults (and yes we will check both of them out, letting you know what we thought). Children ages 18 months -14 years are invited to select from craft workshops focusing on projects from silly hand-made creatures to personalized wall art (schedule to come). Cake decorating classes will cover basic to advanced decorating techniques, for both children and adults. These will be taught by a certified Wilton instructor. Classes can be purchased either individually or in multi-class packages. Have a Girl Scout Troop that needs a badge, or a birthday party to plan? Yeah, they can do that too. Please call for more information 845-638-BABY (2229), including class dates, times, prices, and themes.

A little tease of the room where the new classes will take place!

My Sweet Pea New- Teaser

With the new store coming along all we can do is sit back anticipate all of the new goodies we will find when we get there. The “soft” opening will be sometime in September and the “hard” opening will be in October, just in time to pre-order your Holiday gifts. They are currently still open at their old location 159 S Main through August as they begin to prepare for the move so don’t fret if you need something, Sheri and her staff are always there!

As a side-note Sheri’s other business SOHN Real Estate (845) 639-HOME (4663) will be moving along with My Sweet Pea (see below) but more on that later :o).
