Stop by Little Ivy Academy’s interactive Real Discovery Lab where children can Build & Program a Robot, Create & Code a Video Game, Build a Digital Smart Gadget, or Animate a Digital Story just as kids ages 6-14 do in the summer camp programs at campuses in the Rockland County/Pascack Valley & Ridgewood-Glen Rock areas.

Maple Sugaring

Learn all about maple trees and how sap turns to syrup, tap a maple tree, taste the sap that drips out, boil it over a fire, and then conclude with the sweet taste of thickened maple syrup over crushed ice, accompanied, of course, by a dill pickle.
Participants will take home spouts and clear instructions for tapping your own maple tree. Also attend an Open House between programs, from 12pm – 2pm.

As winter comes to an end, maple sugaring season begins! Come see, learn and, most importantly, taste!
Learn how to identify and tap sugar maple trees, discover sugaring techniques used by Native Americans, pioneers, and modern-day farmers, see an evaporator in action, and finish by participating in a taste test challenge to see if you can tell the difference between maple-flavored syrup and the real thing.
Sugar Bush Tours: 11am, 1pm & 2pm; a one mile moderate hike through field and forest to the Sugar Shack (terrain and weather conditions dependent)
Maple Lane Tours: 12pm & 3pm; perfect for little legs, a short walk from the farmhouse to the new Sugar Shack after a tour of the sugar maple stand. Please wear boots and dress warmly.
