Kids Knight Camp!

• Kids ages 5-13 with older siblings and parents welcome to participate with their child

1. Full Size Indoor Arena
2. All riding levels- novice to expert
3. Quality Riding Instruction from proprietor Lester Murphy, who is an accomplished Stadium Jumper, Cross Country, and Dressage Instructor
4. Quality Weapons and Swordsmanship Instruction from Tri-State Historical Fencing-since 2015
5. We supply Horses, Weapons, and Safety Equipment
6. Activities are safe for both riders and horses- All weapons used are safe and will not hurt horses or riders, head and eye protection are provided
7. Everyone will learn the guards, attacks and parries for sword as written in our 15th Century Italian Fighting Manual. You will use the skills to hit a target called a quintain, you will spear rings, and face both mounted opponents and foot soldiers.

9. Lunch- please specify any dietary restrictions or allergies
10. Archery on foot and on Horseback
11. We will give each child their own squire to get them mounted, lead the horse, and instruct them with archery and foam swords
12. Safety Measures- Swords and Arrows are foam and made for safe practice. All participants will be given a squire trained in horsemanship to guide in horse riding. Any participant that is skilled in riding may ride without a squire if parents consent. High Point Equestrian Center is highly experienced in more than 25 years of riding lessons and events and upholds the highest standards in safety- that said the activity is classified as an equestrian activity and poses the inherent risks of any horseback activity. Swords and Archery are relatively safe but are also sports and pose the basic risk that all sports possess such as baseball or hockey.
