The MTA’s recent Courtesy Counts campaign targeting “manspreading” and other improper conduct has spurred international media coverage, celebrity cameos, blogs, and a heated debate about how to behave in public. Hear about the creation of the new campaign and its storied history from MTA Corporate Communications Chief Connie Depalma, Director of Graphics Rick Stewart, and others.

Then, take an up-close look at original Subway Sun etiquette advertisements, dating back to the 1940s, from the Museum’s permanent collection.
