As mentioned in my previous article I have been reassessing my home environment since (E) was born three years ago. Aside from her medical complications I am sure that another accelerant to my natural movement is that it was at this time that my father also lost his battle with cancer at the age of 63.
In a conversation with Jamie Silver a long time friend, and former teammate we spoke about my story, and she said something so profound to me that it stuck. She said “Everyone has a story like that, which made me think there has to be environmental factors.”
It was in fact, sometime after Jamie’s own family story occurred that she found and began to work for Norwex, a company dedicated to reducing chemicals in the home and improving quality of life.
Like many other families I find that I have moved toward “natural” cleaners over the past few years and when she started explaining to me how Norwex works, I was hooked.
It sounds like it may be too good to be true I know, but Jamie was skeptical at first as well. The thing is, that she has a background in Science herself (a BA in Biological Sciences from Binghamton University), so it fascinated her. After seeing the SCIENTIFIC proof that it was possible to clean her house without using harsh chemicals, she became an independent sales consultant.
Jamie is so dedicated to helping others that she is not only holding this informational meeting for people to learn about the products, she is also donating a percentage of the profits to our March of Dimes Fundraising.
- The event will be held on Thursday 4/14 at Wayne’s World in Nanuet (a great family eatery with a super clean establishment and healthy food options) at 6 pm.
- No sitter? No problem! For $16.99 Waynes World does “Make your own pizza” with a drink, FROYO, and a kitchen tour for the kids!
- Wayne’s World is not only selflessly giving the space for holding the event, but they are also donating 20% of their orders for the WHOLE DAY (dine in or take out) to our March of Dimes Fundraiser!!!
- Space is limited to 25 attendees so that it can be smaller and more intimate, and so that Jamie can answer all questions for you that evening. (Don’t worry we can hold another since we know it will fill quickly)
- To attend: There is a Facebook event created, but clicking “going” is not enough. Email Rocklandnymom@yahoo.com to rsvp with your full name and number of adults and/or children attending.
