The Bergen County Model Railroad Club’s 26th Annual Train Show runs for 4 weekends, Saturday February 13th through Sunday March 6th, including President’s Day Monday February 15th. The show consists of several new or revised large complex track layouts with a dozen or more trains running at a time. The show is open Saturdays 10am to 5pm, Sundays and President’s Day 12 noon to 5pm. The show is located at the United Methodist Church, 130 Franklin Ave (corner of John St. and Franklin Ave) in Pearl River, N.Y. Donation of $2.00 for children 12 and under and $6.00 for adults. The STEAM Expo is set for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 6 at Suffern High School, 49 Viola Road, Suffern NY– Admission is Free!, Sponsored by the REACH Foundation of Rockland, the expo promises to showcase STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) programs and opportunities available in the Ramapo Central School District, in addition to the Challenger Center’s mobile Planetarium showing movies, a Hubble Telescope engineer and more!

Now in its 18th year, YouthFEST is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 6 at the Rockland County Community College Fieldhouse– Admission is Free! A full range of family entertainments, activities, interactive exhibits and food will be on offer, including the Big Apple Circus’ Circus to Go!, Nyack Hospital’s Teddy Bear Hospital; inflatables, and much more!

Build a Toy Wagon Join our hands-on workshop and build a rolling toy wagon for your child’s tiny toys. Once the wagon is built, your child can decorate it with The Home Depot stickers. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.

For Families with youth of ALL ages NEW this year more characters, more face painters, more activity booths, shorter lines, more rooms filled with activities and adventures. Dedicated space for our youngest infant to 2.5 year olds and a special room just for our older crowd ages 8-14. Join us for another magical year as we take over the entire JCC! Meet and greet some of your favorite characters including Chase from Paw Patrol, Curious George, the red Angry Bird, Elmo, Snoopy and a few more yet to be announced. The event includes brunch, bounce house, ball pit, Velcro wall, glitter tattoos, face painting, balloon twisting, games, crafts and activity booths filled with Legos, sports, art and more. The whole experience will be set to music with our DJ Joey spinning today’s top hits with some of your old favorites.
