The Mystery Museum Train Party for Families
Go underground for fall family fun at the Transit Museum
Thursday, October 23, 6 pm – 8 pm
On Thursday, October 23, families take over the Transit Museum for an after-hours Halloween bash! Activities include a Spooky Subway Investigation for young detectives, music by Music Under New York duo We Bred Raptors?, shadow puppet crafts, and a black light dance party. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided. Costumes are encouraged for maximum magic!
SSI: Spooky Subway Investigation: Join fellow detectives to solve an interactive 100-year old mystery involving missing keys, squeaky wheels, subway spirits and a conductor’s hidden stash of candy.
Shadow Puppet Stories: Transport your imagination by creating silhouette puppets and a nighttime city landscape to animate your own travel tale.
You Bred Raptors? Born somewhere between the Triassic and Cretaceous periods, You Bred Raptors? emerged from fossilized trilobites unearthed by shifting tectonic plates. The duo sports an eight string bass, glockenspiel, toy piano and drums. Serenading milkmaids, cavemen and blacksmiths alike with wacky folk music, they have firmly planted their talons in the soil.
