Public Planetarium Show
Challenger Leraning Center – 225 Route 59 Airmont

Discover the wonders of the universe! Step into the Challenger Center planetarium and see the night sky in a whole new light. Travel to the planets and moons of the Solar System, explore the lifecycle of stars, learn the ancient myths about the constellations in the sky, walk on the Moon like the Apollo astronauts, and discover why Pluto is no longer considered a planet. Observe comets, meteors, eclipses, nebulae, galaxies and black holes! Following a one-hour planetarium show that includes a full-dome video as well, participants will take part in a one-hour hands-on astronomy-related project in the Center’s activity room. The planetarium show and astronomy activities are a fun-filled way for the entire family to explore and learn about the wonders of the universe.
Public planetarium shows are offered at the Challenger Center on the second Sunday of every month at 2pm.
$10 children age 9 and older, $5 for children younger than 9 and seniors
