Rockland Farm Alliance’s Junior Farmer Camp introduces children to sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship through discovery, play and plenty of time getting their hands dirty working on the farm.
Our expert staff of farmers and education specialists will lead children through farming workshops, science experiments, planting and harvesting, crop sampling, bug hunts, beekeeping workshops, cooking, nature walks, arts and crafts, and plenty of time splashing in the sprinklers.
Each week, junior farmers will take home a field journal, planting projects, recipes, and a new perspective on where food comes from and the role they play in helping to heal mother earth.
Two healthy farm-foraged snacks will be provided. Children may bring their own, bagged lunch or we can provide an organic catered lunch for an additional fee.
Dates: Weeks of July 17th, July 24th, and July 31st. Sign up for one or all three weekly session.
Time: Camp runs from 9:00am – 3:00pm M-F.
Cost: $360 per week, $320 for CSA members.
Sibling discounts available.
