With my daughter’s birthday being at the end of April, we usually roll the dice with the weather- especially this year, it was SNOWING on April 24, but the weather prediction for the 25th was sunny and warm. Ahhhh… spring in New York! I decided to err on the side of luck and started investigating one thing that all kids love; bounce houses for the party. I reached out to a few different companies, and there was one who instantly got back to me…BOUNCE New York!
When I first explained to Joe at Bounce New York that I was throwing a Peter Pan party, I included a link I had found on Google that showed a Peter Pan bounce house. Joe went above and beyond looking for the panel that I had in mind for the party- unfortunely it’s been discontinued, but I have to say that several other companies just simply replied “no” when I asked them if they had a bounce unit for my theme. Joe and I messaged back and forth several times with him giving me updates about his search. Luckily though, there are several themes that Bounce New York can accommodate from their own stock – super heroes, princesses, Dora and many more. They also have those huge combo bouncers, water slides and ball pits (oh my!)

I decided that I would be the only one who noticed that the bounce house didn’t coordinate exactly with my theme and booked a bouncer for the party. I am SO glad we decided to do it. From the second the BOUNCE NEW YORK trailer pulled up in my driveway, it was a delightful experience. Bounce is a family owned business and that was evident when Joe, his wife and their daughter got out of the car. The three of them worked together to get the house set up and secured. Joe made sure the house was in a spot where it was protected from the wind and then secured it with stakes into the ground to make sure it was safe. He then put down a foam mat for the kids to sit on and take their shoes on and off. And then, the part that totally impressed me- Joe’s wife, Tara, got into the house with a spray bottle of disinfectant and Joe began spraying the outside. BOUNCE NEW YORK disinfects EVERY house, EVERY time they set it up. Joe said that they make sure to spray and wipe the parts of the house that kids would touch. That statement put this germ-a-phobe mom right at ease! Joe and Tara made sure it was sparkly clean and germ free (yay!) before leaving. Upon leaving, Joe even offered to let us keep the bouncer overnight so my kids could use it after the party- he said, “I’d rather have kids having fun on it then it just sitting in the trailer”.

At the actual party, the kids were in the bounce house constantly- every time I looked over there were kids getting in and out, I don’t think it was ever empty! There were even kids who decided to forgo cupcakes to keep on bouncing! I asked a few kids what their favorite part of the party was and most of them said “bouncing!”.
