Since (E) is only 3 months old (tomorrow) I am up a lot of late nights. I spend a lot of this time surfing the web and checking out Pinterest. Most recently I have been checking out baptism/christening stuff as hers is rapidly approaching. Ever the psycho about event planning I was looking or a theme. I stumbled upon the “Faith is a tiny seed planted deep within the soul” quote at 3 am. PERFECT!
As a family we spend a lot of time gardening and landscaping. It’s a favorite past time of (A)’s and mine. In fact when we designed her half of their bedroom we did a flower theme and incorporated the types of flowers that we grow in our yard. Off to the races.
The next day I ran right to AC Moore for ideas, I found galvanized watering cans that were absolutely adorable. I decided to take a look at the silk flowers since they are easy to work with and could be a “take home” for guests. I found hydrangeas that are this great shade of autumn pink with a bit of purple at the tips. SCORE!! We grow hydrangeas at the house and adore them. Add some accent flowers (it took me a while to do this) a transparent gold ribbon length, a mini chalkboard and a stencil. I ended up with a little creation that I like very much and is simple, sweet, and not too expensive.
Suggestion to keep it cost effective is to bring with you the 50% coupon they have pretty much all the time. You can find it and print right from their website. Also, they offer a teacher discount so that’s a plus.
