Tuesday, Day 2: Bradley Beach, NJ
We needed to get a day in at the beach so we drove down the GSP to exit 100B where an Aunt of mine has a beach house. You can park and pay for the day to go on the beach ($9 per adult, kids 12 and under are free). Although the waves were a little rough (yellow-flag day) we had a fantastic time. We put up our sun shades and played in the sand for ages. There were plenty of little seashells scattered all over the sand for the kids to find (always a plus) and it was very clean.
Mostly families in attendance, everyone was playing and having a good time. We brought our own food and snacks and really just lounged for the entire day. Since it was a Tuesday, we also missed most of the crowds both during our drive and on the beach itself. That’s the way I really enjoy the beach. We didn’t really do much else although I know that the boardwalk extends very far down the coast and is nice for a long walk if you were inclined to go and do that. Also available is Bocci Courts, mini golf, and a great new playground. It’s a very family oriented area nice and calm, extremely quiet. It was a fantastic day. So relaxing, and you know how kids sleep after a day of fresh sea air…
